Kite Surfing FAQs

What is the difference between a kite board and a windsurfing board?

Kite boards are generally much smaller than the average windsurfing board. They are also thinner and more lightweight. Windsurfing boards also have a place to attach a sail whereas kite boards do not.

Where can I find kite surfing equipment?

If you live near a large body of water, there are often local retailers that can help you out. If, however, you live inland this equipment is most easily found online.

What is a sport kite?

A sport kite is not for kite surfing. They are more akin to a standard kite, but they are designed to perform highly complex acrobatics. These kites often take a great deal of practice to master.
