Kite Boards

Kite boards are an essential part of kite surfing. They are the platform on which the rider stands while being pulled across the water. They are available in a wide variety of designs, ranging from beginner models to those designed for advanced enthusiasts.

Kite boards are available in two main styles; twin-tip and surfboard style. Twin tip boards are designed for performing tricks and for most riders are easier to learn on. Surfboard styles are often used by more advanced riders.

Not all kite boards are created equal. A quality board should be exceptionally lightweight, often weighing less than six pounds including the footpads and straps. They should also be made from materials that do not absorb water.
